St. Francis and St. Clare of Assisi Parish will be holding a Parish Day of Reconciliation on Wednesday, April 9th.

Following the 9:00 am weekday Mass at St. Catherine of Siena Church, the Church will remain open until 4:00 pm for our regular day of Adoration. Throughout the day, a priest will be

available for individual Confession.

That same evening, a Reconciliation Service will be held at 7:00 pm at St. Stephen Church. All are invited to join with our faith community to reflect on our lives through Scripture readings and songs, followed by an examination of conscience. Following the service, several priests will be available for individual Confession.

Reconciliation is a grace of healing available to us all.
Reconciliation is a grace of healing available to us all.

How do we get the most out of Lent?

We need to remember that God is interested in the attitudes of our heart more than the actions of the body. Our faith is about our love for God, but we cannot separate our love of God from our love of our brothers and sisters. Lent is a time to celebrate reconciling love, and the church offers us the Sacrament of Reconciliation and its healing graces.

In the Lenten Season, where Catholics are encouraged to examine their lives and acknowledge their sinfulness, Reconciliation allows us to be spiritually prepared for the celebrations of Holy Week that concludes with the joy of the Resurrection on Easter Sunday
