Ways to Donate
“The point is this: the one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that by always having enough of everything, you may share abundantly in every good work.”
(2nd Letter from St. Paul to the Corinthians, 9:7)
Register as a Parishioner
Registration is free with the parish office and allows you to have your weekly contributions made under your name. This enables us to issue a tax receipt for your donations which in turn reduces the overall cost to you of supporting the parish. This simple chart shows the before- and after-tax cost of charitable donations in Canada. For example, a $1,000 donation will generate between $262 to $290 in tax credits.*

* If you already have $200 or more of other charitable donations for the year, your entire gift to St. Francis and St. Clare of Assisi Parish will be eligible for a 29% tax credit, up to 75% of your net income.

E-transfer
This is another secure process for automatic transactions to the Parish from your bank account. It can be used for a one-time donation, or for donations you'd like to setup on a regular weekly or monthly schedule. Please use the message feature of the Interac transfer to indicate your name, the church to which you are donating, your envelope number if available, and if the donation is for a special collection.
E-transfers can be sent to officestfstc@gmail.com
To avoid your donation being misdirected, please ensure you spell the office email address correctly.
Cash or Cheque
Donations of cash or cheque can be sealed in an envelope and given at any Mass during collection, or mailed to the Parish Office: 6032 Normandy St., Halifax, NS, B3K 2S9. Please include your name, contact information and address if you would like a charitable tax receipt for your donation.
