In the October 26th, 2025 bulletin, Fr. Nathanael shared the news that an Icon of the Annunciation of our Blessed Mother was to be ‘written’ on the wall to the left of the sanctuary in St. Catherine of Siena Church. This Icon depicted the announcement of the Incarnation by the Angel Gabriel to Mary (Luke 1:26–38). Throughout the many hours that the iconographers took to ‘write’ the Icon, they prayed for all of our loved ones who have gone before us. Parishioners were invited to submit names of their deceased loved ones to include in these prayers. The iconographers daily, and sometimes multiple times a day, would stop to read all of the names that were submitted and include them in their prayers. On December 21st, the Icon was blessed.

A small plaque will be inscribed, stating: The Annunciation of our Blessed Mother is dedicated to the memory of our loved ones who have gone before us.

Fr. Nathanael and Fr. Peter would like to thank all of those who contributed to this beautiful expression of our faith through their financial support and prayers. Special thanks to our iconographers from Kalos Iconography for the gift of their talent and faith that has been given to our community.

This is the list of those remembered during the creation of the Icon:
