The volunteers of St. Theresa’s Society of St. Vincent de Paul would like to express our gratitude, to those from our former parish and those from our new parish, whose support has allowed us to continue to help those calling for assistance.

Looking back over 2024, we took in $22,370 and 73% of that was from individual cash, grocery gift cards, and in-kind donations. Halifax Particular Council provided 15% and separate fundraisers another 12%.
The St. Theresa’s Conference has traditionally focused on food assistance and in the last year, some $15,188 was given out, accounting for 73% of what we provided. In total, we spent $20,877. Our Christmas food and gift parcels totaled $2,198 and support to the needs of the residents of emergency shelters on the St. Theresa’s property was $2,386.
Our six active volunteers put in over 500 hours answering phone calls, getting grocery gift cards and household supplies, delivering the parcels to people’s homes and at Christmas, putting together the gifts for St. Vincent’s Nursing Home. It is very rewarding for us and would not be possible without your support.
We are always looking for volunteers to join us in our work serving others. If you are interested, please contact any of our Parish conferences:
